Based on Mounted

Ceiling Mounted Evaporator

Ceiling Mounted

Ceiling mounted evaporators are recessed in the ceiling, offering a more uniform distribution of cool air. This installation improves comfort by evenly cooling the room without occupying floor or wall space.

Wall Mounted Evaporator

Wall Mounted

Wall-mounted evaporators save floor space by being installed high on walls. Installation is simple, requiring only securing the unit to the wall and connecting refrigerant lines.

Floor Mounted Evaporators

Floor Mounted

Floor mounted evaporators are ideal for spaces where wall or ceiling installations aren’t possible, offering easy access for maintenance, without requiring ladders or complex setups, ensuring convenience.

    FAQ

How does a cold room evaporator work?

In order to evaporate and absorb heat from the air, the refrigerant is circulated through coils in the evaporator. To maintain the proper temperature, the cool air is then dispersed throughout the chilly chamber.

Cold room evaporators typically operate in the temperature range of -5°C to -18°C, depending on the application (e.g., storing meat, dairy, or frozen foods).

Choosing the right evaporator depends on factors like room size, desired temperature range, and airflow needs. Larger rooms may require a double side blow unit, while smaller rooms might benefit from a single side blow or wall-mounted unit.

If the evaporator is not cooling effectively, check for common issues such as dirty coils, low refrigerant levels, malfunctioning fans, or poor airflow. Professional servicing may be required to address underlying problems.

Cleaning the coils, monitoring refrigerant levels, testing fans for correct operation, and making sure there are no obstructions in the airflow are all part of routine maintenance. Regular defrosting is also necessary for efficient operation.

It’s recommended to clean the evaporator every 3-6 months, depending on the level of use and dust accumulation. Regular cleaning helps maintain optimal cooling efficiency and extends the life of the evaporator.

A cold room evaporator can be installed by someone with HVAC experience, but it is advised to contact a professional to guarantee correct installation, maximum performance, and adherence to safety regulations.
